Stories matter

They are powerful and innately human. They touch the part of us that is ancestral. They remind us of our humanness.

Stories are shared. One person sees something within themselves in another’s story. One person feels inspired. One person is humbled.

Stories can influence society, politics, culture. They can teach new perspectives, provide insight and allow people to better understand themselves.

Stories provide a window into a different culture or time. They increase our capacity for empathy and compassion.

Derrick Mason, Jacqueline Hollows, and Omar Wilson of Beyond Recovery were grateful to have been invited to share their stories with a host of other wonderful storytellers at the online 3PUK Stories Day.  Held on Sunday  7th November, this new one-day event highlighted and focused on the everyday stories of change that we see so often with the Three Principles understanding.
